In 2022, mountaineer Kristin Harila attempted to summit the tallest 14 peaks in the world.

After setting a world record in May 2021 as the fastest woman to climb Mount Everest and Lhotse in less than twelve hours, Kristin was inspired to embark upon ‘Bremont 14 Peaks’, a monumental effort to become the first woman in history and the second person ever to climb all 14 peaks above 8,000m in just 6 months.
Kristin sadly had to retreat from her expedition this season due to challenges receiving permits to complete the final 2 mountains in Tibet.

Kristin relaunched her
attempt in April 2023.

Kristin formally kicked off her 2023 expedition as she successfully summitted Shishapangma, the first of the fourteen mountains, at 5pm local time on 26th April 2023.

Kristin took the strategic decision to start with Shishapangma, the 14th highest mountain in the world standing at 8,027 metres above sea level and situated within the Tibetan Himalayas.

The clock officially started on a new world record.

After 3 months, 20 hours and 45 minutes of climbing, Kristin became the fastest mountaineer of our time.

Kristin faced challenging terrain and extreme weather conditions, successfully summiting all 14 peaks in the record-breaking time of 3 months, 20 hours and 45 minutes.
