The Route To NordKapp

TO THE EDGE OF THE ARCTIC

With 86 motorcycles already en-route and support vehicles packed, the stage is set for a challenge of world-class engineering, endurance and grit. Riders will cover 250–350 miles per day, passing through Denmark, Sweden, the Norwegian Fjords, and eventually crossing into the Arctic Circle, with over 1,000 miles beyond the line.

“The Arctic Rally is about pushing boundaries… it’s a celebration of Scandinavia and of the places few will ever reach by motorcycle.”

ROBERT NIGHTINGALE, MALLE LONDON CO-FOUNDER

Throughout the expedition, riders will wear timepieces from the Bremont Terra Nova Collection — field-tested watches designed for life off the beaten track. Whether navigating unpredictable terrain or maintaining pace across long-distances the Terra Nova is built to perform in the elements.

Below you'll find regular blog updates from Malle London co-founder Robert Nightingale throughout the rally — and a full recap from when the final rider reached Nordkapp.

The Great Malle Arctic Rally: Stage 0 – Denmark | 0 Miles

And so it begins. The Great Malle Arctic Rally roars to life beneath the polished steel and chrome glow of The Classic Car House in København, our rally start line for the longest endurance motorcycle road rally ever attempted across the entirety of Scandinavia. 100 riders. 2,500 miles. From Denmark’s southern tip, weaving through Sweden and Norway, and surging beyond the Arctic Circle, all the way to the fabled cliffs of Nordkapp, the northernmost edge of Europe and the Northern tip of the mainland Arctic. The stage is set for a journey into the wilderness.

Stage 1 Denmark to Sweden | 232 Miles

Engines roared as riders thundered out of the subterranean supercar sanctuary that is The Classic Car House, crossing the engineering marvel of the Øresund Bridge into Sweden. The coast stretched out ahead, ancient and windswept, as we carved our way north along the old sea road towards Gothenburg, through the first of many national parks, with spirits high and tires fresh.

Stage 2 Sweden | 339 Miles

This was the longest Rally stage yet, a demanding journey from coast to mountains, skirting Oslo and plunging back into the wild heart of Scandinavia, up into the first Norwegian mountains. Tonight’s rally camp stood tall and partly subterranean, in a Viking longhouse, a fitting shelter for a night of legends in the making.

Stage 3 Into Norway | 272 Miles

Today, the riders faced the mountains. The road climbed into Norway’s eastern highlands, snaking its way to the summit of the Sognefjellsvegen the highest paved road in Scandinavia and Northern Europe. Past the mighty Galdhøpiggen, Norway’s tallest peak, we descended to the fjords below, reaching the storybook village of Øye, remote and timeless. A rally stage and a dinner to remember.

Stage 4 Norway’s Wild West | 289 Miles

We woke surrounded by giants, the deepest fjords, the tallest waterfalls and the haunting silence of Union Øye’s hidden valley. Then, onwards and upwards to Trollstigen, which has finally opened after over a year, due to major landslides. With switchbacks worthy of a Norse saga, our riders devoured the legendary road before a dramatic island-hopping adventure on ferries and bridges — across the Storseisundet Bridge and north towards Trondheim.

Stage 5 Island to Island | 242 Miles

The terrain shifts, fjords gave way to scattered islands and open skies. Storms rolled in from the sea, turning this stage into a trial of grit and resilience. Riders powered through torrential rain, multiple boat crossings and 20km tunnels that bored deep beneath the sea.

When a scheduled ferry was unexpectedly canceled, the rally became a convoy, 100 riders loading onto a single boat as the captain filmed the spectacle. The spirit of adventure? Alive and well.

Stage 6 Crossing the Arctic Circle | 339 Miles

A checkpoin.t at the Arctic Circle Motorcycle Museum marked the milestone. Reindeer sightings signaled the true Arctic ahead. The rally presses on

Stage 7 Into the Arctic Tundra | 317 Miles

The road narrowed. The land grew harsher. Navigation was now a simple mantra: ocean on the left, wilderness on the right. With energy running low and the weather turning wild, this stage tested every rider’s resolve. But with each mile, we crept closer to the top of the world, one throttle twist at a time.

Stage 8 Nordkapp: The Edge of the Earth | 209 Miles

They made it! All 100 Arctic Rally riders crossed the finish line at Nordkapp, where the land ends and the Arctic Ocean begins. After 2,500 miles across the spine of Scandinavia, through storms and sunshine, tunnels and tundra, the longest endurance motorcycle rally to have ever been hosted across Scandinavia has reached its epic conclusion. With 19 countries represented by 100 riders and 34 Malle crew, this wasn’t just a rally, it was an ambitious expedition. A celebration of adventure, camaraderie, the humble motorcycle and the places it can take us to.

“If you want to go fast, go alone. If you want to go far, go together.”

Congratulations to all of the Rally riders. You’ve gone farther than most dare to dream, on the humble motorcycle, thank you for making this a truly wild adventure.
